Our Sustainability Awareness
Today, the health services sector pollutes the environment nearly as much as steel mills and oil refineries due to greenhouse gas emissions caused by high resource consumption and waste production. We at Baymed recognize that sustainability is now a matter of life and death. Because if the world does not exist, neither do we. Respect for the environment is one of our guiding principles in production, planning, and many other areas. We demonstrate this determination by remembering that “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." As a result, we have made environmental awareness a corporate culture, and we work hard to instill it in each of our employees. We use nearly 100% recyclable, environmentally friendly raw materials in our products thanks to the synergy we've created between our integrated facilities and our customers. Furthermore, we carefully select all of the packaging materials we use to protect our products from recyclables.
Environmental and noise pollution are never created in our facility in accordance with all environmental standards. Air pollution-causing emissions, such as dust or gases, are not produced as sound (noise), light, radiation, or vibration emissions. To protect the environment, we strive to reduce emissions and waste wherever possible. We produce approximately 3,600,000 kWh of clean, renewable energy per year and contribute the equivalent of removing 1,594.8 tons of CO2/annum emissions from our atmosphere with 6,468 solar monocrystalline panels installed on 10,672 m2 on the roof of our headquarters.
Furthermore, our manufacturing facility is ISO 14001 certified, which is a set of global environmental standards established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 14001 is a standard that guides the determination of environmental factors in the process from raw material to product presentation to the customer and minimizes environmental damage by controlling these factors with necessary precautions.
We have a special responsibility to our customers, stakeholders, employees, and society as one of the leading international manufacturers of medical textiles. First and foremost, we are concerned with the satisfaction and success of our loyal customers, the livelihood and health of our employees, and the communities we serve both at home and abroad. Human rights violations in our own production facilities or anywhere in our supply chain are unacceptable to us. When selecting suppliers, we make certain that they adhere to ethical standards. At the same time, our manufacturing facility has the GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification, which guarantees recycled textile products that meet environmental and social standards.
Baymed Culture
Inspired by the concepts of “equality” and “equal opportunity”, we find it valuable to create a working environment where all our employees feel that they are part of the same whole, regardless of their gender, age, education or experience.
